Android Marshmallow - To Enhance Your Experience

Android Marshmallow Top Ticks To Enhance Your Experience

Google has firstly released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its Nexus devices, but now the new operating system is also available for devices manufactured by other companies. Today we’re going to give you some top tips and tricks that you can use on your device that runs on the latest Android OS version.
Granting App Permissions Individually
The Android Marshmallow comes with a feature that will give you the option to allow or block an application from accessing specific options. With other words, you will be able to deny third application permissions to any specific features without any problems. Until now, when installing an application you had to accept that an application will access the specific features, but from now on, you will be able to “customize” the access for each application that you install on your Android device.
To access app permissions, head to your Android device’s Settings->Apps and select an individual application to see its permissions. After that, you will be able to deny or accept any permission you want for that specific application.
Uninstalling Applications Via The App Drawer or The Home Screen
In Android Marshmallow you will be able to uninstall an application directly from the app drawer or home screen by simply long-pressing it. Once you long-press on an icon of an application, you will see some new options such “App Info” and “Uninstall” in the app drawer or “Uninstall” or “Remove” in the home screen. Just drag the application icon to the “Uninstall” icon and you’re done.
Using RAM Manager
Android Marshmallow also comes with a new feature that allows you to see a list of applications sorted by RAM usage. When tapping on an application from the list, you will see some detailed information about the RAM usage and be able to even “Force Stop” the application if necessary.
Activating Google Now From The Lock Screen
On Android Marshmallow the lock screen shortcut to the dialer has been replaced by Google Now. With other words, you will be able to use the “Google Now” feature in order to call someone. To do this, just swipe from the bottom left-hand corner of the lock screen and “Google Now” and give a voice command.
Doze
Doze is a new feature that comes with Android Marshmallow. When your handset is inactive for a period of time, the Android Marshmallow will enable Doze and the feature will make your device “hibernate”. However, keep in mind that priority notifications and alarms will be awake. We remind you that you will be able to still use the “old” Battery Saving Mode feature.
In addition, you will be able to choose up to three applications that will be excluded from the Doze and Battery Saver features. To do this, you will need to go to Settings->Battery and tap on the overflowing menu from the top-right side, select “Ignore Optimizations” and the applications that you want to run while your device is in “hibernating” mode.
