‘Space Black’ would be one more reason to buy the Apple iPhone 7
While you drool away at the renders, one must note that while we do know about Apple’s plans to come up with a few more colour options this year, the Space Black inspiration comes from an Apple Watch. With that in mind, you also need to ponder over how Apple will come up with the finish shown in the renders (before you begin dreaming) as the Space Black Apple Watch is made of steel.
With that out of the way, its time to drool over the details over a smartphone that many may not want to upgrade to when launched in September.
Browsing through what appears to be life-like photographs of the upcoming iPhones placed alongside the iPhone 6s and another deep blue variant of the iPhone 7, the Darth Vader black (since we may also have “Force” Touch home button) finish on the front of the smartphone does stand out. Moving to the back we have more matte finished stealth black complete with black filler material for the antenna gaps. While the antenna gaps have grown thicker, they look a bit more subdued thanks in part to the black colour (which Apple being Apple will obviously not utilize).
Also visible on the back is the new, bigger camera module which may be a reason for some to upgrade to the iPhone 7. Oh yes, and even Hajek thinks that it will protrude but in a more subtle way compared to the rudimentary approach visible on current iPhones.
Next is the absence of the 3.5mm headphone jack. A new set of EarPods have been beautifully rendered to look very similar to the current earphones, but once again in a dreamy black instead of the standard white and they plug into the lightning port.
Additionally, we also get a glimpse of the new Home Button, one that is expected to pack in Force Touch capabilities and host the new and updated scanning (presumably ultrasonic) technology, that could come from Sonavation (since there’s no Qualcomm in here to battle Sense ID on its Android competition).
Indeed, Martin Hajek has been inspired by the current rumours, and we are expecting a ‘Space Black’ iPhone 7 Pro or iPhone 7 Plus to show up on the artist’s blog as well. The iPhone 7 Plus is expected to pack in a dual camera module. One that may or may not work in a manner similar to Huawei’s P9 smartphone. Additionally, rumours also point to the presence of a smart connector on the back of the device. It isn’t clear what it will be used for, but since, Apple is not too keen about modular devices, this will in all probability be used for a Smart Keyboard Cover similar to its iPad Pro models.
Great Post! Apple customer support
