Reliance Jio Effect: Vodafone Offers Unlimited Calls, 25GB Data at Rs. 786

Reliance Jio ultra-low cost 4G services and free calls have compelled all major telecom operators to release plans with competitive bundled data, as well as make calls and roaming free. Therefore, it will come as no surprise that Vodafone has expanded its special plans for Ramzan, which had been launched for UP West, to more regions in the country. The new Ramzan plans offer considerably high data than the norm, ISD calls (to select countries) at lower tariffs, and unlimited voice calls within India at Rs. 786.
As part of 'Vodafone Ramzan 786 Plan' postpaid users in Assam and North-East circle will get unlimited voice calling, unlimited national roaming, and 25GB data at Rs. 786. On the other hand, prepaid subscribers from Rajasthan will get full talk time and ISD calling to UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia at just Rs. 0.14 per second also at Rs. 786, as part of its 'Vodafone Holy Ramzan Pack'.
First talking about the North-East circle, Vodafone has announced that it will also offer a 50 percent discount on all premium number series that have '786' in their mobile number. This discount will be available for both prepaid as well as postpaid customers in the region.
Nidhi Lauria, Business Head, Assam and North East, Vodafone India, commented on the launch saying, "We at Vodafone wish our customer a wonderful and fulfilling month of Ramzan. Keeping the Ramzan spirit in mind, we have introduced this new offer to enable our customers to stay connected with their loved ones and share their emotional and spiritual experiences."
Moving to the Vodafone Holy Ramzan Pack in Rajasthan, the plan comes with a validity period of 56 days and allows users to place calls to USA and Canada at just Rs. 0.06 per second. Further, the company has introduced two more plans for the prepaid customers in the region.
"Vodafone FRC 445 offers unlimited local and national calls, plus 1GB 4G/3G data daily, with a 70 days validity period. Alternately, Vodafone FRC 295 provides unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calls plus 1GB 4G/ 3G data daily, for 70 days," the company said in its release.
Earlier this week, Vodafone launched another Ramzan plan in the UP West and Uttarakhand circles. Called the Ramzan Special Pack, 2G and 3G customers can enjoy the unlimited data offer for Rs 5. and Rs. 19, respectively. 2G customers can also buy the pack for making unlimited local and STD calls plus unlimited data for Rs. 253. Under the offer, customers can also avail unlimited local and STD calls plus 1GB data per day for Rs. 345.
